Apply sunscreen generously and evenly to clean, dry skin at least 20 minutes before sun exposure. Reapply every 2 hours (or more often) and after sweating, swimming or towel drying.
Warning: Prolonged sun exposure should be avoided. It is important to wear protective clothing, hats and eyewear when exposed to the sun. Avoid contact with eyes. Do not apply on broken and or damaged skin. It's always best to test patch when trying a new product. Keep babies out of direct sunlight.

FAQ'S
Non-nano refers to the size of the zinc oxide particles in our sunscreen. Specifically, it means the particles are larger than 100 nanometers, which prevents them from being absorbed into the bloodstream. This makes non-nano zinc a safer choice for our little ones and is also gentle on our beautiful reefs and oceans.
It's generally not recommended to apply any sunscreen to babies under 6 months, regardless of what other brands may suggest. This is because their skin is much thinner, and they should be kept out of direct sunlight. Instead, use protective clothing, hats, and shade to shield them from the sun.
If sun exposure is unavoidable, some paediatricians may recommend using a small amount of a mineral-based, non-nano zinc sunscreen (like Sun & Daughter) on limited areas of the body. Always consult with a healthcare provider before applying sunscreen to a baby under 6 months.
We understand the concern about dryness! Our sunscreen is formulated with high-quality, nourishing ingredients like coconut oil and castor oil which help keep your skin hydrated. Its best to always wash off zinc sunscreen at night to avoid the skin drying out from a build up of zinc. We recommend a natural oil cleanser & follow with a moisturiser or oil to replenish moisture and keep the skin healthy. Always patch-test any new product, as everyone's skin is different!
Our sunscreen has a creamy consistency that rubs in quickly. Achieving a natural SPF 50+ requires a thicker texture compared to watery chemical sunscreens due to the use of mineral UV filters like zinc oxide. If you’ve come across a mineral sunscreen with a more liquid consistency, it likely contains added seed oils or water, which would also mean the inclusion of preservatives. However, 96.67% of our testers found that Sun & Daughter feels more lightweight than other mineral sunscreens they’ve tried!
